A business trip took me to the sunshine city of Brisbane. While days were spent attending seminars and conferences at the office, nights were mine to explore. What I enjoyed most was a walk along the Brisbane River which offered a view of the most magnificent nightscape. The luminous skyscrapers lit up the boardwalk while the iconic Story Bridge made the river shimmer in the dark. I paused mid-way through my night stroll and took a moment to just soak in the view and reflect. There, surrounded by quiet and city lights, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude — just to be present in that moment.

 

Later, that night, I woke up at 3am, pulled back the curtains of my hotel room, and leaned against my bed. It was again a moment of quiet reflection for me – I got teary eyed as I recalled the long hours, the hard work, and the persistence it took to get here. Brisbane for me, was more than just a business trip. It was a milestone, a reward, and a dream come true.
